How not to crash your car and other snow driving tips is based on my mother’s rendition of a car crash she was in when my brother was three years-old, and I was seven years away from being born. I think often of how family stories become as impactful as the actual facts of the events themselves, how they form our sense of place within our family’s particular mythology.
